Cornerstone CBO is a community based organisation (CBO) founded in Ahero, Kisumu County to address the development needs of vulnerable families: women, youth, orphans, and persons living with HIV; through practical, locally driven programs.
We work across gender development, agriculture, climate resilience, health, digital literacy, and education, equipping people with the skills and resources to build sustainable livelihoods.
We also support community groups to register and access government programs such as the Uwezo Fund, Widows Fund, and Women Enterprise Fund.

Eight practical programs delivering real change across health, agriculture, gender equality, digital skills, climate resilience, and education in Kisumu County.
Gender Development
Promoting gender equality and women's empowerment through leadership training, awareness campaigns, and advocacy for women's rights in Ahero and surrounding areas.
Agriculture & Food Security
Supporting smallholder farmers with training in modern farming techniques, kitchen gardens, and agribusiness skills to improve household nutrition and income.
Climate Change & Environment
Educating communities on climate smart practices, leading tree planting drives, and promoting environmental conservation to protect livelihoods in the Ahero region.
Health & Wellbeing
Facilitating community health education on hygiene, nutrition, reproductive health, and mental wellbeing, linking families to available health services.
Computer & Digital Training
Equipping youth and adults with computer literacy, internet skills, and basic digital tools to improve access to information, work, and online opportunities.
Education Support
Providing school sponsorships, bursaries, and learning materials to orphans and vulnerable children to ensure they complete their education.
Vocational Skills Training
Practical training in tailoring, dressmaking, bakery, salon services, and mushroom farming, equipping youth and women with sustainable, income generating skills.
Table Banking and Microfinance
Community savings groups that pool resources to help members start or grow small businesses through collective, locally managed microfinance.
